Our beliefs are set in Universalism, which basically means that no one religion is the “truth”. Each individual must make the discovery of their own faith and beliefs. You’ll find that the verses that are quoted on this blog are simplistic in that they teach us to open our hearts and minds to find our faith. For us, the Bible is symbolic, and sets the tone for many faiths. You do not need to believe in the Bible to join us, nor do you need to believe there is only one true God. You must only believe you are on your own journey of faith, which is indeed individualistic.
- We believe all people should be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of faith, religious beliefs or spirituality.
- We believe there is a journey every individual must take to find their own enlightenment, without judgment of that journey by others.
- We believe in not only helping ourselves and our friends, but in helping those who are not yet our friends.
Some of our ministry work is done through the giving to special needs charities. Our minister, Rev. Susie, has taken part in several charity giving events where items are crafted and given to certain charities. Many of those hand crafted items were newborn and preemie items, given freely to charities who then distribute the items to hospitals where they are needed. Every charity we give to is researched to ensure it is real, and that there is a real need.Soon, we will have a charities page where you can see some of the organizations we believe in supporting.Thank you!
Rev. Susie was ordained by the Universal Life Church in Modesto, California on March 19, 2008. Their doctrine is very simple: “Do that which is right.”
Her mission is to help others locate and utilize the resources available to them so they may proceed in life with dignity. No assistance will be given to those seeking help out of greed.
Some of her personal beliefs include non-violent approach to life; social condition improvement programs; our actions in life should reflect love for all of humanity; and she has a basic belief in karma.
